Animals.

In science we have been learning about where animals live and how their habitat affects the way they look. Do you know why a polar bear white?

The High Jump Competition.

Today the whole school, took part in the annual high jump event. Lots of excited children were eager to try and beat the school record!

IMG_5441.JPG Then it was time for year 2 to show their skill at the high jump. Each child had a go and tried their best! We had an overall winner, for year 2, and the Winner was Kaiden Martin from Class 3. Well done Kaiden!

Sports Day Practice.

Today we have had a great time participating in our sports day practice. It was fantastic to see lots of encouragement throughout the school, when each year group had their events. Well done everyone! Which house team do you think will win, on Sports Day?

Today we have been learning all about different types of living creatures. Harrison has been finding out all about amphibians.

Today we have been continuing our work on continents. We have been creating our own continents and giving them a name. Kyle has designed his own. Take a look!

Our plants.

We have been looking after our seedlings every day and making sure they have enough water. Sophie has been taking lovely photographs of the plants and how they are growing. Take a look! How are the plants growing in your classes?

Making 3D shapes.

Today we have been learning about new 3D shapes. Today we have all been making triangular prisms. Our end goal is to use our 3D models to make a giant Egyptian pyramid. Why don’t you have a go at making a 3D model?

2D and 3D Shapes.

In Class 3 this week we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. In art the children have painted pictures in the style of ‘Neo-plastic’ art. This art uses geometric shapes to create paintings, that are often abstract. Will you have a go at a ‘geometric’ picture? Take a look at our paintings!
