Making 3D shapes.

Today we have been learning about new 3D shapes. Today we have all been making triangular prisms. Our end goal is to use our 3D models to make a giant Egyptian pyramid. Why don’t you have a go at making a 3D model?

2D and 3D Shapes.

In Class 3 this week we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. In art the children have painted pictures in the style of ‘Neo-plastic’ art. This art uses geometric shapes to create paintings, that are often abstract. Will you have a go at a ‘geometric’ picture? Take a look at our paintings!

3D Shapes.

Today in Class 3 we have been learning all about 3D shapes. We have been learning about the properties of each 3D shape, and we have been looking for these shapes in our environment. Kyle found a shape on the playground, ” This is a cylinder.”

Numeracy.

In numeracy we have been working with odd and even numbers. We have combined using Chinese numbers and paint to create our odd and even art work. Take a look!

Today in class 3 we have been learning all about time. We have been challenging ourselves by completing difficult clock times. Take a look!

We have continued to practise our skipping skills ready for next week’s sponsored skip. We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation. What progress in skipping have you made this term?
